Keyboard Maestro will hilight the location of the various buttons to help you quickly create a macro. This is a post for MacSparky Labs Level 3 (Early Access) Members only. At first I dismissed the idea as being “too much work.” After thinking about it for a moment, though, I realized I could MacGyver this relatively quickly with my favorite Mac application, Keyboard Maestro. It occurred to me it’d be useful to just pop into VS Code quickly to edit the doc, then bring those edits back into the Bookstack editor in Chrome. Unfortunately, though, it doesn’t show realtime feedback in the preview pane until I save and close out of the virtual editor. Click the x button to toggle whether the window show close after an action. Select a named clipboard and click the button to delete it. Click the + button to create a new named clipboards. Hey Jutta, That’s interesting, since Keyboard Maestro doesn’t work with the Microsoft Windows operating system. Select a named clipboard and click the Paste button button to paste a named clipboard. Hold the option key down to move by 10 instead of 1, or the shift key to resize instead of move. I have been using keyboard Maestro on Windows 10 pro for 3-4 months. Press the control-W hot key trigger to activate the macro group (an optional palette appears) and then use the arrow keys to nudge windows around. I have a Chrome extension called Wasavi, which is incredible for editing text areas in an inline virtual Vim window. This macro group allows you to move and resize windows using the arrow keys. I love the UI (shown below) but unfortunately I cannot move around in the editor like I can in PHPStorm or VS Code, where I have Vim support. Keyboard Maestro is a program designed for users who wish to boost up their productivity while working on their Macs. There is a markdown pane on the left and a preview on the right. It’s a fantastic documentation system built with Laravel. You can create a new Macro Group by clicking. The window pane contains a list of Macro Groups and their associated Macros. ![]() You get this window pane by launching Keyboard Maestro and clicking the Macros tab. ![]() Okay, so it’s not quite as amazing as the title suggests, but this solution is worth sharing. This window pane lets you manipulate Macros and Macro Groups, creating new ones, deleting old ones, enabling and disabling them and so on.
